  • OTOjOY’s work is groundbreaking, and ensures persons with hearing loss are offered full hearing access as intended by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA),” said Dr. Juliette Sterkens, an audiologist with the Hearing Loss Association of America.  “During live performances, crowd noise and amplified sound prevent hearing device users from enjoying music the way it was meant to be heard. Having hearing loops at music festivals will greatly enhance many people’s ability to enjoy the shows.

  • Recently we installed a hearing loop at Congregation B’nai B’rith in both our sanctuary and social hall. With this technology in place, our hard-of-hearing congregants are now able to hear and understand almost every spoken and sung word. Those congregants who previously sat in frustration with hands cupped around their ears or had to fiddle with our previous ALS headsets now sit wherever they want with ease and dignity. I am thanked regularly for bringing in this technology to our building. It has tremendously changed their experience in our space.

  • Recently I took my mother to the Hearing Loss Association meeting at Wood Glen Hall mainly because I wanted to see just how the looped environment would affect her hearing. I cannot tell you how elated she was when she looked at me as the meeting started, and proclaimed that she could hear every word clearly. She had a smile on her face the entire time.
